Grabba Dabba Review
Grabba Dagga is a brand new slot from CORE Gaming deeply inspired by claw machines. The developers have already released a same-themed slot a couple of years ago, namely Grabba Dagga Dough, so the title under review can be considered as a continuation to the previous one. However, the 2016's game felt more like a scratch card than a slot game, thus the guys from CORE Gaming decided to please the lovers of arcade grab machine once more, this time with a slot game, though, you'll still have an opportunity to experience the thrill of playing an actual claw machine.
Grabba-DabbaThe reels are set in an arcade crane machine, however, don't expect to see stuffed animals as the symbols since the devs have taken a slightly different approach. The payable offers a bunch of recognizable symbols alongside some newer ones. The symbol collection is a set of 10 regular symbols, split into highs and lows. On the lower side, we get 9-A royals, while the premiums include different colorful balls with the question mark inside. The high-paying symbols involve bronze, silver, and gold balls, as well as a shiny purple ball patterned with gold stars as a top star here. You'll require at least 3 lower symbols on a line to get a win, while all the premiums pay from 2 instances on a single line. There's also a Wild symbol included, which has the same value as the top-paying regular symbol on top of everything.
- Wild / Purple Ball - 200x of the bet.
- Gold Ball - 40x of the bet.
- Silver / Bronze Balls - 20x of the bet.
- A / K royals - 12x of the bet.
- Q / J royals - 8x of the bet.
- 10 / 9 royals - 4x of the bet.
Grabba Dabba - Technical Info
When it comes to the technical aspects, they're not as pleasing as the game's appearance. The RTP is meager at 95.20%, as it's way lower than the average level within the industry. The volatility level has not been disclosed by the developer, however, based on our subjective opinion and experience in the game we suppose that the game is powered by a high volatile math model. You won't have those smaller wins to keep you afloat, and the wins, in general, do not occur too often.

The actions take place across a 5x3 sized grid with 25 ways to play.
Players drop in by setting bets from 0.25$ to 100$ per spin, providing a rather wide betting range that will appeal to both high-rollers and less risky players. The maximum potential is also quirky, as the max payout is capped at 250,000$ on a single spin, thus all you can hope for when playing with the max bet option available is 2,500x of the bet.Grabba Dabba - Bonus Features
CORE Gaming didn't saturate their brainchild with dozens of features, so those looking for a lot of extras here may skip the title beforehand and try anything else. However, the game boasts a couple of lucrative features to keep you entertained during the session.
As we already mentioned before, there's a Wild symbol included in Grabba Dabba. It does not only substitute any other regular symbols but also is a key to triggering the Free Spins feature since they act both as Wilds and Scatters at the same time. Land 3 or more to trigger the precious bonus, and the more Wilds you manage to get, the more spins will be awarded.
- 3 Wilds - 15 Free Spins.
- 4 Wilds - 20 Free Spins.
- 5 Wilds - 25 Free Spins.
Furthermore, each Wild comes with a 2x multiplier available both during the base and the bonus games, though, you won't be able to land a better multiplier since their values do not sum up even if 2 or more Wilds appeared on a single line during the same spin. Moreover, all the wins during the Free Spins feature are tripled, so any wins that include a Bonus Wild symbol will have a 2x multiplier applied, followed by the 3x.
The game logo symbol is the second Scatter in Grabba Dabba, which is used to trigger another bonus game. 3 or more Scatters are required to trigger the feature. The bonus game is preceded by a selection option, where you have to reveal one out of 3 balls to determine the number of grabs awarded.
Thus, 3, 4, and 5 Scatters will provide 3-5, 5-7, and 7-10 grabs respectively. The developers put the entire gameplay of Grabba Dabba Dough into the single feature, and the purpose of the game is to navigate the claw to pick up a random ball and then watch it deliver the ball to the chute... or not, depends on your luck honestly. If the ball manages to drop through the hole, you'll be awarded a cash prize. There are 3 balls in total, same to the symbols, each one with their own value:
- Gold Balls - 50x or 100x of the bet.
- Silver Balls - 10x or 25x of the bet.
- Bronze Balls - 2x or 5x of the bet.
Grabba Dabba - Verdict
All said and done, the CORE Gaming's title is a controversial one indeed. On one hand, you get a pretty authentic theme with interesting bonus features. On the other hand, the game has a bunch of significant drawbacks that spoil the overall impression.
First of all, the math model. The RTP value leaves much to be desired, while the volatility even though not being disclosed feels brutal actually. Based on our test of Grabba Dabba, landing a single win was a rather challenging task, not even talking about decent ones. The hit frequency is meager indeed, and the bonus hit rate is torture. Moreover, even if you somehow managed to land the precious Scatters and got access to the bonus game, it's likely to get a couple of bronze balls and end up with a 15x win. The maximum potential is so-so too, as we've seen a lot higher payouts so far, and 2,5k times the bet for such a volatility level is not worth the risk.
The entire gameplay is a downside. You won't find anything here to keep you in the right mood during the session due to the lack of features.
The base game is boredom, and you're likely to get a nervous breakdown awaiting the bonus features to pop up. All up, if you're a claw machine addict and you have a withdrawal during the quarantine, this is your choice, otherwise, we can't think of a single reason to play this title.Slot Name: | Grabba Dabba |
