Review Summary

Fantasma hasn’t chosen a very original theme for what amounts to their Dream Drop debut release, and Volatile Egypt Dream Drop is also very similar to Quickspin’s Eastern Emeralds. It’s pretty much a watered down version of it, in fact, and that’s not least the case for the non-jackpot version. It comes with lower multiplier values that can only land on 3 reels, compared to higher multiplier wilds on 4 reels in Eastern Emeralds.

The maximum combined multiplier tops out at x336 compared to x1,680, and the overall 6,553x potential is also significantly lower (although it’s increased to 7,117x in the non-jackpot version). There are few reasons to go with this game unless you’re chasing the potentially life-changing jackpot, and keep in mind that 12 percentage points of the 94 % RTP goes to feed the progressive jackpots. We’ve seen far more imaginative releases from Fantasma for sure, so we’ll have to chalk this up as a mediocre jackpot debut.
